Ambassador (Retd.) Venu Rajamony, Chairman of the Future Kerala Mission, met Shri George Kurien, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Fisheries, in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Ambassador Rajamony presented the Minister with a copy of the Future Kerala Mission – JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Discussion Paper titled “Tackling Kerala’s Water Hyacinth Menace.” The discussion underscored the urgent need for collaborative initiatives and policy-led interventions to effectively address Kerala’s growing environmental challenges.
The Minister appreciated the efforts of the Future Kerala Mission and JAIN University Kochi in fostering research-driven and sustainable approaches aimed at protecting Kerala’s water bodies and ecosystems.
