An expert session on “Strengthening Community Enterprises Through Farmer-Producer Organizations (FPOs)” was successfully conducted on 21 May 2026 at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) for Scheduled Caste fishers and allied workers.
The session was led by Shri Ajeesh Balu, Deputy General Manager, NABARD, who shared valuable insights on the role of FPOs in strengthening community enterprises, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, and empowering local communities through collective action.
Jointly organised by MPEDA-NETFISH, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and Future Kerala Mission – JAIN University, Kochi, the programme provided participants with practical knowledge on entrepreneurship, collaboration, and community-led development, reinforcing the importance of sustainable and inclusive growth.
