The Capacity Building Training Programme on Value Addition of Water Hyacinth, sponsored by NETFISH–MPEDA and facilitated by Future Kerala Mission, successfully concluded after training 120 participants across three batches. The initiative empowered participants with practical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge to transform water hyacinth into value-added products and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The final day began with a special yoga session in observance of International Yoga Day, promoting wellness and mindfulness among participants. Expert sessions on costing, FPO formation, product design, crafting, and marketing strategies were followed by a valedictory ceremony, certificate distribution, and a product exhibition showcasing the participants’ creations.
Blending wellness, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, the programme demonstrated how environmental challenges can be transformed into opportunities for community empowerment and economic growth.
